Our goal to rehabilitate Clement Alley is well in line with the LABT (Los Angeles Beautification Team) mission statement: “To improve the quality of life in Los Angeles by empowering citizens to change their environment for the better.”

Please come out and support job training for 'at risk youth' through an amazing community participation project. Our city crews will also be onsite removing soil debris. Any large items, including garbage containers must be moved in advance to ensure clear passage.

Local mural artist Sandra Zebi (zebidesigns.com) will be painting a beachy Brazilian style wall mural enhanced with her signature 3D ceramic touches.

We look forward to having the neighborhood join us.

UPDATE

Venice Expressed took back this forgotten alley. Neighbors, some who hadn't met each other in over 17 years, came together and tirelessly cleaned their neighborhood alley. Removing refuse and decades of overgrowth the street became visible again. Sandra Zebi, a renowned Venice artist, was commissioned to paint her 'beach life' message. Using her signature vibrant colors and  ceramic 3D touches she reinvigorated an otherwise bland concrete wall. This project not only brought beauty to a grim landscape, but Venice Expressed united neighbors through a sense of pride and community.
