With an eye to how we could unite neighbors who for the most part live behind tall fences and secure buildings we imagined a social connection that goes back to the most primal thing we do daily …EAT!
Recently, one of our cofounders, while attending a dinner in NYC came face to face with the dilemma of first world abundance. The host had cooked a chef quality pasta dish that that could undoubtedly feed double the people present. In a building with hundreds of occupants he imagined all the neighbors who would have loved to share in the bountiful meal. His mind wandered to all the possible social networks that a united building could have through the sharing of food, and so the seed of an idea was germinated.
